What this tool does

Estimate required cell output (g/hr), operating percentage and initial salt for your pool. CYA level adjusts chlorine demand to stay consistent with the water chemistry tool.

You will get

  • CYA input required — sizing blocked until stabiliser level is entered
  • Demand multipliers for usage, sun, cover and surface type
  • 1.5× safety factor on cell capacity; 8 h/day run assumed

Assumptions

Starting defaults

  • 50,000 L, moderate use, partial sun, no cover, CYA 40 ppm
  • Target salt 4,000 ppm — check your chlorinator manual
  • If CYA is low, dose stabiliser via water chemistry first
